Public Climate School 1st – 5th July 2024

Climate Education Week on the Platz der Alten Synagoge

Public Climate School ist one week of climate education for everybody!
It is our goal to make education for a sustainable development as well as university content, that is relevant for the climate and society, available to everyone. One key aspect of this is fostering awareness about the climate crisis and its relation to social and societal issues. To illustrate this connection, we present a week of lectures, workshops and discussion rounds with scientists, experts and teachers on the Platz der Alten Synagoge.

According to the principle: Change starts in Learning!

We created a broad program and offer different lectures, workshops and hands-on actions every day. All people are welcome to join every offered event, however mornings are especially planed for school classes.
Live music, an evening program as well as a “kitchen for all” guarantees a good mood right into the end of day.
The program is supported by several round-the-clock offers.

Feel free to drop by and have a look around.

Unfortunately, we were (as of now) only able to get german-speaking events for our program, which is why the timetable below is as well only in German. However, should there be any barrier keeping you from coming to us, for example translation into a specific language, sign language, assistance or similar, please don’t hesitate to contact us via mail – we will do our very best to make your visit possible anyways.

There is an awareness team at the event site during the whole week. You can find our awareness concept here: (currently only in German)
